At AX® Materials, we’re committed to supporting glove and gear manufacturers in achieving their sustainability goals and metrics. Our mission is to foster an environment that moves away from the use of PFCs/PFAS (AKA “forever chemicals”) to ensure a safer and more sustainable future for all.
In alignment with California’s new environmental standards, we have successfully transitioned all our materials to C0 Water Resistance chemistry. This innovative shift ensures that our products are fluorine-free, all while maintaining the high performance our customers have come to expect.
While fluorine is commonly found in durable water repellants used in textiles, it can also be present in other treatments and dyestuffs within the material supply chain. To address this, we are conducting rigorous third-party testing in accordance with EN 14582:2016. These tests confirm that the “Total Organic Fluorine” in our materials meets California’s requirement of less than 100ppm.
We understand that the conversation around per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) is continually evolving and the complex and ever-changing regulations for these chemicals can be challenging to navigate.
Our team at AX® Materials is here to provide clarity and answer any questions you may have about how our materials meet all ongoing requirements.
